 NIJINSKY'S LAST DANCE

WINS AWARDS IN DUBLIN

The Workshop Theatre Group's production of Norman Allen's Nijinsky's Last Dance performed at this year's Dublin Gay Theatre Festival in Dublin, Ireland to sell-out audiences.  Out of the 60 shows and over 200 performances at the festival, Nijinsky's Last Dance was one of three shows nominated for "Best Production," and performer Ricardo Melendez brought home the prize for "Best Male Performer!"  After an amazing run in Dublin, the show moved to Marbella, Spain for two more performances and again played to rave reviews and sell out crowds.  We are now setting our sights on performances on the west coast including the Invisible Theatre in Tucson, AZ and possible dates in L.A. and San Francisco in 2009!  Check back often for more details!!
 

 

 

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME

 The Workshop Theatre Group is proud to call the newly christened Benjack Studio Theatre at the TRDance Center in  Norfolk, Virginia "HOME."  The theatre seats up to 150 people and the playing area can be arranged in a multitude of ways in this state of the art space.  The Benjack Studio Theatre will host many different arts activities and performing groups and WTG is excited to be part of this fantastic venue.  It is located at 325 Granby Street in downtown Norfolk and  was made possible in part by a generous matching grant from the Norfolk Foundation with support from Claire and David Benjack and others. "THANK YOU" to the TRDance Center and all the groups and individuals who contributed to make this beautiful space a reality.
